New Beginnings

Chanel is the ultimate epitome of classy.  I recall spraying my Aunt's Chanel No. 5 when ever she wasn't looking because aside from smelling good, I wanted to feel grown up and sophisticated myself. Its taken a while for me to warm up to the brand for their cosmetics mainly because I've had MAC tunnel  vision for so long but as I'm getting lets say, more sophisticated, for the sake of calling myself old, I've been venturing out to new avenues. So, what you see below are the the following: Double  Perfection Natural Matte Powder Makeup, Poudre Universelle Compacte, Rouge Coco Shine Lipshine in Boy and Flirt.

First impressions: The Double Perfection Makeup which is like a foundation that dries to powder applied very smoothly. My color, Rich Beige blended in so well with my skin tone that it looks like I'm not wearing anything at all. I chose to try this because I wanted to see if there was something comparable to my MAC Studio Fix that I could switch to for the sake of trying something else.

The pressed powder works well to touch up throughout the day. It does a great job at absorbing the oils you produce throughout the day and it completely matifies your face.

The lipsticks are moisturizing, easy to apply and feel really good on the lips. Boy is definitely a cult favorite and a Flirt is a gorgeous color especially for Spring and Summer.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my first Chanel make up purchases. Like anything new, I have to continue to use the product to develop a true love or dislike for it. So far, thumbs up. Next on my list to buy are the Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadows.
